Career path
From healthcare assistant to Registered Manager
Every stage of this work, done first hand. Tap through each step.
Hands on care first. Learning what good care feels like from the person receiving it, and where it so often falls short: continuity, communication and being treated as a person.
Nursing on hospital wards, caring for adults with a wide range of conditions, and seeing first hand what people need to go home safely.
Delivering nursing care in people’s own homes. The same setting our carers work in every day, with all its practical realities.
Supporting children and families across the community, with a focus on prevention, early support and working closely with other professionals.
Leading the agency and the care it delivers: training healthcare assistants and support workers, setting the standards, and making sure every client is treated with dignity.
The role
What a Registered Manager does for you
CQC registered home care services are required to have a Registered Manager. It is a legal role, not a job title, and it means there is always one named person answerable for your care.
Accountable to the CQC
The Registered Manager is named on our CQC registration and is legally responsible for how our regulated care is run, day to day.
Safe, personal care plans
Every care plan is built around the person and reviewed as their needs change, drawing on her nursing and community experience.
Training and supervising carers
She trains and develops our healthcare assistants and support workers, and makes sure our standards are met at every visit.
Safeguarding and concerns
She oversees safeguarding, incidents and complaints, so any concern you raise reaches someone with the authority to act on it.
